Steps in Debt Collection Process
Updated: Nov 25, 2020
The steps in our debt collection process may take some time depending on the nature of the debt. Our active debt recovery solutions have been proven to be effective when handling cases from our clients. ANR has a reputation for maintaining prominent levels of client satisfaction across its entire business. We closely work to understand our clients’ needs and how to represent them best.
First follow up: (First demand)
First demand letter will be constructed and sent to the debtors’ address/email (This will notify the debtor of the existence of this debt and its current escalation).
2nd attempt of contact: SMS (Notify the debtor of this debt in the case if they did not review our letter)
3rd attempt of contact: Phoning the debtor (our collection officers will attempt to contact these debtors)
Our first follow up is conducted over a period of 7 days with respect to the ACCC restrictions of 3 attempted contacts per week.
Usually within the first follow up, we tend to filter out your files by distinguishing between those that will pay, go on arrangements or refuse to correspond.
With debtors that refuse to correspond, we move on to our second follow up which is our Final demand.
Final demand follow ups are similar to the process that we follow in our first demand campaign, however, in a complete different context whereby we’re advising the debtor that this has escalated further.
After 14 days of running first & final demand campaigns, by then we have filtered between those that have paid in full, on arrangement, experiencing financial hardships or refuse to correspond.
